Once more with feeling ---

Dear Co-op Members –
Some of you may have missed our previous message in December that the Co-op has shut down, for reasons of low participation and volunteerism. We simply can’t run a market without volunteers, and it isn’t worth the time of those who do show up if there are few orders to distribute. The core group of mostly older ladies cannot do this anymore.
I have left the website open in the hopes that someone will come forward and agree to try to revive the market with new energy. If you want to be that person, please contact us. In the meantime, several of our vendors have expressed willingness to sell individually by arrangement. You can contact following listed and make your own arrangements.

From Mountain Meadows Farm

From Mountain Meadows Farm:

Don and Mary Kelley of Mountain Meadows Farm want to personally thank all of the volunteers, vendors and customers that have made the Spa City Coop possible over the years. We are sadden that it has closed. We hope that we can provide products to any individuals that want to continue shopping with us.

We deliver meat and eggs to customers in the Hot Springs area monthly, usually on a Thursday or Friday. We have many locations where we presently stop in the Hot Spring area to meet and deliver the individuals that have placed an order. I can add your email address to our Hot Springs group email, so you will know in advance each month what day we are coming. Then you can email me directly at our address below, or feel free to order directly on our website, also listed below.

Our next trip will be on Friday, January 17, 2020.

I can send a flyer with our various times and locations for deliver, and also a price/inventory list upon request.

Thank you everyone!

Mary Kelley

Reminder and an important announcement

Dear Members of Spa City Co-op,

It is with some sadness that we tell you that this market currently open will be the last Co-op market for the forseeable future. There are several reasons for this, foremost being that orders are down, bringing in so little income that we are running out of money, and the cooler is on it’s last legs.

We wanted you to know this in case you want to stock up on our great products, like honey, meats for your freezer, baked goods, live plants, personal care items, ginseng, and ANP greens [don’t forget you must order those before 9 pm Monday night!].

Wishing you all a glorious holiday and New Year, and hope to see you Friday picking up your order.

Karen Holcomb
Market Manager.

correction

A wee correction to the previous email announcing the opening of the market:

The market address:

spacity.locallygrown.net

Lots of great Christmas gifts out there so order lots and often.

If we don’t make 10 orders we’ll have to cancel again, and may close the market down until springtime. If you want to continue to have SCC, you’ll need to order. It’s as simple as that.

The market is open

The Spa City Co-op online market is now open for ordering at spa city. locallygrown.net.
Please place your order by Monday at 9pm for Arkansas Natural Produce and by Tuesday at 9pm for all other vendors.
Please plan to pick up your order Friday the 20th from 3-4:30. If you can not make it please arrange for a friend to do so for you.

Wishing you and yours a glorious holiday season.
