Gower Farms is committed to growing and sharing natural, healthy, sustainable foods with our neighbors. We will never use pesticides on our animals or produce, nor inorganic methods to control weeds or pests.
EGGS:
Our hand-raised chickens are fed a diet of certified organic pellet feed. They also enjoy a special (sprouted) organic greens mix to round out their meals and boost the Omega-3 fatty acids in their eggs (PVFS Omega-3 Chicken Forage Blend – Irrigated – Nitrocoated Seed). Our happy chickens will never be exposed to pesticides, antibiotics or other unnatural products or methods.
VEGETABLES & FRUITS:
By early summer of 2016 we expect much home-grown produce to be available to share with you. We will soon offer a variety of lettuces, cabbages, tomatoes, squash, peppers, onions, potatoes, beans, herbs, blueberries, strawberries and grapes… and of course… okra… as seasons permit. All of our plantings, whether seed or sprouts, are ordered certified organic and/or heirloom… no exceptions.
