*Why is buying from the co-op important? Community, quality, re-localizing your food source!

Spa City Co-Op
We are not a for-profit business. We are a buying club made up of volunteers. There are no paid positions. We work together with the local farmers and vendors to bring good products to all of our tables.

Ordering Options
Unlike other co-ops, buying clubs, or CSAs where everyone gets the same box of stuff (and you don’t know what you’re getting until you get it), with Locally Grown you get to order what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms that you want. You’ll get an email every two weeks listing the produce, meats, dairy, eggs, live plants, herbs, fresh flowers, and artisan goods available that week, and you can browse the items on this website before you place your order.

Becoming a Member
Go to the icon Your Account, scroll to the bottom, click on create account, and follow instructions. You then have two trial orders. If you like the products and wish to become a full member, a $15.00 annual fee will be charged on your third order. We also ask that you look at the online volunteer calendar at http://tinyurl.com/Co-opVolunteers and sign up to man the market in sorting orders and other functions as works with your schedule. It can be as little as just a couple of hours on market pickup day or during special events on the weekends.

Volunteering for the Co-op
We have no paid positions, and are indeed a cooperatively run buyer’s club. This means that we need volunteers to help with every market pick up, and to help with other activities involved with running the market. Every time you volunteer for a shift, usually 2-4 hours of the market or running a booth, etc., you’ll receive a $5 gift card ,and your membership is extended by two months.

Placing Orders

Every other Saturday, after 9:00 a.m. the market opens and an email is sent to everyone with an active account. Customers must place their order for the week any time after that email goes out, but no later than Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Orders are placed here on our website.

Growers receive their orders that same night and harvest on Wednesday and Thursday.

Picking Up Orders

You must pick up your order on the following Friday at 3:00-4:30 pm
at:
Emergent Arts
341-A Whittington Ave
Hot Springs AR. 71901

Membership Fees
To provide farm tours, educational programs, and to help us with our overhead costs, we ask that you pay an annual fee of $15 per household for one calendar year. You are welcome to try us for two orders before you pay the membership. The website will automatically add the membership fee to your third order. Volunteering extends your membership by two months each time you man a market, serve on the promotions team, or participate in an event for the co-op.
