Volunteer needed

As of Monday, there is nobody signed up to volunteer for this Friday, Feb. 9th.

I can’t do this alone, people! If no one signs up to volunteer by the market closing on Tuesday night, I will be forced to cancel the market.

This market helps local farmers to get through the winter, so I hope, for their sakes at least, that at least one person will give us a few hours on Friday.

Karen Holcomb
Market Manager

Reminder

Just a reminder that if you want items from Arkansas Natural Produce, you’ll need to place your co-op order before Monday night.

Also, Bluebird Hill products will be offered only once a month, so be sure to stock up on those this market.

We’ll be needing volunteers for all markets in February and beyond, so
do please click on the Volunteer Spot button at the top of the market page and
sign up to man a market. Your co-op needs you!

Thanks as always for your support of Spa City Co-op.

The market is open.

The Spa City Co-op market is now open for ordering at spacity.locallygrown.net.

Please place your orders before Tuesday at 9 pm, and plan to pick up your orders at Emergent Arts on Friday from 3PM to 4:30PM. If you’re unable to pick up your order at this time please make arrangements to have your order picked up for you.
Remember to scroll all the way down and click place this order.

Don’t forget – this market has no paid positions, so we NEED VOLUNTEERS to run every market. It’s fun, you get a $5 gift card as well as extend your membership by 2 months, and you learn so much about local foods in Arkansas.
Have a great week and see you on Friday!

IT’S TIME TO STEP UP

Spa City Market is a COOPERATIVELY run buyers’ club. There are no paid positions. As such, we need market VOLUNTEERS and two more MARKET MANAGERS.

CURRENTLY THERE ARE NO VOLUNTEERS FOR FUTURE MARKETS.

WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS, WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO RUN THE MARKET.

You can sign up to VOLUNTEER by clicking on the Volunteer Spot link at the top of our website.

Volunteers help set up the pickup area, distribute food to baskets, assist customers, and take down the pickup area.

Full market volunteers receive a $5 gift card and membership is extended by two months.

We need two more MARKET MANAGERS who will serve approximately once each month.

Market Manager for each market opens the market online, and closes it on Tuesday when it’s done, prints out the packing documents, and supervises their volunteers for that market. Managers rotate the responsibility for a market, so that they only supervise once a month.

If you love the fresh veggies, egg, meats, and other wonderful products offered by YOUR Spa City Co Op, please volunteer in order to keep our market open.

Contact Karen Holcomb, 501-760-3131, skholcomb@gmail.com or Nan Cameron, 501-881-4880, nancam1943@gmail.com.
